Personal Info
With over 15 years in the fitness industry, Jake Allyne has built a career defined by versatility, innovation, and a relentless commitment to inclusion. His experience spans an extraordinary range of demographics — from training elite athletes including members of the New York Giants, to working with individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities, and collaborating closely with physical therapists to bridge the gap between clinical care and community fitness.
Jake began his career at the iconic 92nd Street Y on Manhattan’s Upper East Side, where he honed his skills in personal training, group fitness, and multidisciplinary program design. From there, he expanded into private training, partnerships, and adaptive coaching before joining Life Time, where he managed Small Group Training and led their 60-Day Challenge programming while mentoring teams and refining systems at scale.
Throughout his journey, Jake always remained rooted in adaptive fitness — but the COVID-19 pandemic accelerated that purpose into a mission. Recognizing the lack of truly inclusive spaces and the narrow definition of what “fitness” is supposed to look like, he set out to redefine it. That vision became Breakthrough Fit Co: a first-of-its-kind adaptive and inclusive personal training studio, designed to meet people where they are and change the way the world perceives ability.
Today, Breakthrough Fit Co has become a leading force in the Tri-State area, expanding rapidly and transforming lives through accessible fitness, community partnership, and trainer education. Jake continues to speak, mentor, and consult for fitness professionals and entrepreneurs who are looking to build impact-driven businesses that serve all people — not just the mainstream.
His philosophy is simple: fitness is not a privilege — it’s a human right. And inclusion isn’t a trend — it’s the future
